I recently hatched out an OG x Het OG clutch and I noticed one of the hets rib cage is curved in on one side more than the other, near the tail. There's no kink in the spine just the curved in rib cage. I hatched out 2 hets last year from the same sire with the same exact deformity so I know I'm not imagining it. Last year it was 2 out of 5 snakes that hatched with this same condition. This year I bred the same sire to a different dam and it's only 1 out of 3 snakes with it, the other 2 are perfect. Both year I had the egg box set up exactly the same, hatch rite with light grate on top. What I want to know is has anyone ever seen this before? Do you think it's possibly genetic or could it have something to do with the method in which the eggs were incubated? BTW last year the male and female were completely unrelated. However, this year its possible the female may have been related to the male but both were hatched from different clutches.
