I want to make sure I'm doing the best for my little guy as possible. For those who didmt see my other thread I am hand caring for a baby rat fuzzie. He's probably about 2-3 weeks old I think. Anyways, he is getting bottle/syringe fed about 4-5 ccs of kitten forumla every 3-4 hours. It adds up to about 4-5 minutes of feeding time. Is this enough for him? If he doesn't start to fall asleep he sometimes looks for more for a short time. Also, is it normal for him to twitch when (I think) he's sleeping? Its hard to tell when he's asleep since his eyes aren't opened yet. He shouldn't be too active at this stage right? He pretty much just eats, sleeps, and goes to the bathroom. Sometimes hell curioisly roam my hand for a few minutes but he generally passes out fairly quickly after eating. Also, I stimulate him to go to the bathroom...should he be going every time he eats? There's been maybe 3 or 4 feedings where he did neither after food. If he is the age I think he is...how long until his little eyes open? For never having taken care of a baby rat before...he seems to be doing well and thriving. I just want to clear some of this up and make sure its normal. Sorry for any grammar or spelling issues...I'm posting this from my phone. All help is appreciated
