    Kiln dried pine is best mixed with a small amount of pine pellets. Rats don't smell that bad at all. If the bedding is changed weekly and they are not over crowded. Mice are what stink terribly. I won't breed mice because they reak so bad but rats don't smell at all to me as long as they are clean.
