If she lays while I'm gone...
I only have one clutch coming this year, and it's due literally any day. Nerissa ovulated on May 25th, and shed about 2 weeks later - I stupidly forgot to record the date of her shed, but it was right on time if I remember correctly. So according to my calculations, she was technically due to lay this previous Friday. For the last few days, she's been alternating between weird positions/contortions & perfect coils, so I imagine it will happen any day now.
I'm getting a bit nervous, though, since I'm supposed to go on a trip this weekend... and what if she lays while I'm on vacation? Can she incubate them herself until I return? The temps should be fine, but I imagine the humidity is way too low - so should I add some moss before I go, or perhaps a laybox? Hopefully she'll pop them out before Friday, but if not I'd like to know how to leave things. TIA!
Here's a picture of her from tonight... whaddya think, is she close to laying?
