Verizonwireless is going to implement tiered data on 7/7 for NEW subscribers and NEW data/phone lines for existing subscribers. Current subscribers will be grandfathered into their unlimited data plans (for now at least).
If you are thinking about adding data/getting a smartphone or switching to Verizon and unlimited data matters to you then time is running out.
If you currently have a feature phone you can (apparently) up the data plan to unlimited, get grandfathered, then move to a smartphone later (handy for those waiting for the Bionic or Droid 3 [and others] that are to be released AFTER this goes in to effect).
Just thought I'd throw that out there for anyone who may be thinking about making a change in the near future
