I've been trying to figure out the right way to heat my Blood's tub with an RHP.
His new tub is 36x16 or 18x12. The RHP is on the top right side of the ceiling of his tub. I have it hooked up to my thermostat. I plugged it in at first without the thermostat to see if it would achieve the right temps and it got warmer than I wanted. With it plugged into the thermostat, it is not getting the temps I want. With the thermostat probe on the floor, it wasn't getting anywhere close to the ambient temps I needed, even with the thermostat set to like 100. So I moved the probe so it is a couple inches away from the RHP.
I am getting a giant range of temps now.
My thermostat is set to 96, it says the temps where the probe is, is 88.
My accurite is telling me my temps are cold side 72, warm side 74.
My temp gun is showing me cold side 77, warm side 81-84.
And a little digital thermometer is telling me 79.8 on my hot side...
About 5-6 inches off the ground it is in the 100F range with the temp gun! How is that possible if where the probe is(higher up closer to the RHP) is only 88 degrees on the thermostat reading??
Can anyone help the confusion that is making me go crazy?
