So i tried breeding mice about a year ago and had good luck with it but i obviously did something wrong and that is maybe messing with the litter too early. I went to see what the count was on the following day and the mother had killed off the whole litter. Then I repeated the same mistake 2 days later with 3 other females that had litters and again they killed them off...frustration set in and I offed each of the mothers and stuck to breeding rats since. I recently acquired 1.2.0 mice and now both females are prego...before coming to work, one had already had its litter and this time i left them alone. I am hoping that this time around i can get a good colony going since i have a couple of smaller snakes that cant readily take rat pinks. Ive looked around on mice and snake forums for pointers but if any of you have any other advice as to what i might be doing wrong i would greatly appreciate it...maybe ill end up building a mouse rack like the one posted on the DIY forum if i get that many females going. Thanks in advance for any input.
