Why all the hate on the Plasma TV's? We have a Samsung 50" Plasma and I have not seen a better picture yet. You really can't get any better of a picture than you can with a plasma. I have no problems in a bright room either.There is no motion blur like led/lcd's have. The newer higher Hz led/lcd's are much better with the motion than older ones that are less than 200Hz. We also have a Samsung 35" Lcd tv. The only down sides to a Plasma vs. an Led/Lcd is that the Plasma can and will "Burn in" really easy so you can't pause a movie for more than a few minutes and leave the tv on. The Plasma also uses way more electricity. Plasmas are great but with how fast technology moves the Led's are getting better pretty fast. The life span is comparable between them as well so I am not sure where the plasma short life span came from.
If I were to get a new TV though and had the money I would buy one of the new Led Samsung tv's. I love our Plasma but the newer Led's are cheaper to operate.
