Hey guys,
well today I took some pictures of Powder which came out really good. I posted these pictures on Redtailboa.net and a member there says she certainly looks like an intergrade (or Hybrid)
He thinks she is part BCI (Columbian) and half BCC (Peruvian)
I investigated further and after seeing many photos of Peruvian boas, I can 100% see why he would say that. The saddles are nearly IDENTICAL and the coloration is very similar
head shape is also similar to that of most Peruvian boas.
here is the pics of Powder, and I have also included comparison picutres of peruvian boas:
and here is one of the bad pictures, HOWEVER.. it shows her tail saddles. It also shows the "missing" tail saddle. Once the tail saddles start, count to the 7th. at the 7th saddle there is a little "dot" surrounded by a lot of white pigment. this SHOULD be a saddle. This may or may not mean anything, BUT ITS DARN COOL
now heres some peruvian boas. notice the saddles are almost exactly like Powders ALSO the colour. she has the same milky brown coloration as these boas:
*Note: I do not own these pictures. These are NOT my animals. these are simply pictures from google, All rights to the owners and I mean no harm in using them*
So? what do you guys think? Does she have some BCC Peruvian mixed in?
Either way I love her, but if she had peruvian in her id be very happy. not because its BCC or whatever, but because I REALLY love big boas. and peruvians are known to get big. so a intergrade columbian/peruvian would get a good size![]()
