My tongs are lost, so I feed with my hands.
Today I got hurt, and not because of a bite, but myself.
I dropped a pinky mouse in for my corn snake, Cheesecake, and she wouldn't eat it. So of course, I picked the thing up to check if it had gone cold, and she struck at me--I reacted instinctively and jerked my hand back, and cut myself on something sharp around the lining of her tank.
It freaking hurts. It's a big slice in my 2nd smallest finger, next to my pinky.
I'm not afraid of them biting me, I know it isn't that painful, but for some reason I spaz out. It's hard to retrain yourself.

...Cheesecake was being extremely defensive. I have no idea why. She's in blue but usually doesn't act different.
