We hatched a RED Ball Python!!!!!!!!!

Okay, okay. it was just a ploy to get everybody in here. There is no red ball. In fact, we haven't even hatched any balls this year...yet.

As a parrot owner, this is something I feel very passionate about, and I would love it if you guys took the time to vote on the Pepsi Refresh Contest. When you click "Vote for this Idea" at the bottom of the page, you can connect through your Facbook account, so no signing up for anything! (as far as I know, please correct me if I'm wrong)

HELP THE PARROTS WIN $25,000!!!!

Anyways, here is the write-up directly from their site:

"The World Parrot Refuge has applied for a grant from Pepsi Canada in the Pepsi Refresh Everything program. The grant is for $25,000 and will go towards food for the parrots, and we need YOUR help to win it!

It costs $4,600 a month for seeds and nuts alone to feed the 800+ parrots now at the refuge. As you can imagine, receiving this grant would be a wonderful help to the World Parrot Refuge in 2011.

To win the grant, the parrots need your daily vote until April 30,
when voting closes and the winners will be announced.

It won't cost you a penny - just a bit of your time - but it will make a world of difference for the parrots. It's up to all of us to win it and show the birds how much we care.

A couple hints to help the parrots even more:

* Are you part of a group: church, school, club? Share the link with them, and make it a group effort! Pass it on to your co-workers, too. Get everyone involved! Go Team Parrot!
* Check out other groups in different grant categories - if you like them and vote for them, let them know you are coming from the World Parrot Refuge - feed the parrots - 25K. Then, they may vote for the parrots, too! It's all about helping each other out. There are a lot of great organizations in this round.
* Let all your friends and family know that the parrots need their daily vote, too! Let's all work together and win this for the birds.
* Folks from other grant categories are voting for us, too. If you care to, please vote for them and let them know you're there from the parrots so they will keep voting for us.
