I'm going down to Naples Flordia in two months to visit my parents. I'm definatly going to be in the everglades city area as well. I was wondering if theres any specific back roads or locations where any of you have found a variety of things field herping(primarily snakes), pretty much anywhere in south fllordia(i'm willing to drive). Last time I was in the area we went somwhere in the everglades and walked on these narrow cannel paths with 10+ foot gators every 40 feet, so I'm looking to keep out of an akward situation like that..Not that I mind it I just get a little closer than I should.... Plus all we found were massive flodia softshels and some little baby painteds.
