i'm with angllady2.
granted i feel that everyone is entitled to their feelings and opinions and it should not be implied that someone, especially a guy is "less then" just because he's a little emotional.
it really bothers me to hear people say "man up and quit your baby blubbering." to a young boy who say, accidently let go of a balloon he JUST got or fell and scraped his knee. in the times i have heard other parents making those comments to their seemingly devastated kids i've stopped and gone "how would YOU react if you accidently dropped a wallet with a bunch of cash in it and the money fell out and got scattered in the wind?!"
my bf made the mistake of saying "your a boy. us boys dont cry." to our son a while back when he fell and bumped his head. believe you me that was the LAST time he ever uttered those words (or anything like them) to our son after i got through with him. i think it's wrong that boys are taught to "be tough", dont show any kind of emotion, it's considered a weakness. feelings are feelings and they should be allowed to flow as they go.
but anyways, i digress, sorry.
before anyone who fits into this "tough guy" thing bashes me for saying guys should be able to show emotions, please let me say that i do agree that the emotional friend's logic on the cycle of life is a little off, he should still be entitled to feel the way he feels. our feelings are what make us human.
ok so i'm gonna end my post here cuz i can go on forever on this whole mess.
