Ok, this is my story how stressful feeding is for me right now, which maybe some of you know.. not sure, but anyway...

Way back before my snake went off-feed of almost 6 months last year, i had him on a once a week, chain petstore, f/t, adult mouse diet (still do). I asked when I could feed him bigger prey and I got comments saying you can switch to small rats once a week. So I did just that. Everything was going fine until 3 months later he refused it. So, to try and get him to eat again anyway, the next week I feed him something smaller (adult mouse), nothing. Then became the most stressful 6 months of my life. I feel the rats caused his fasting. Then July of '10, he finally ate some little hoppers i gave to him, snatched those guys like it was no one's business. I then gradually brought the prey items larger to adult mice again and decided to just have a strict 'adult mice only' diet. So i gave him 2 or 3 adult mice every week, to increase his weight. Then.. to no surprise, within the 3 months he stops eating.. again. So, I had to feed him hoppers again for him to eat.. again, which he did. Last week, I feed him an adult mouse and he ate it.. My snake is going on 2 years (possibly 3 If you count the hatch date, or 2 1/2, not sure) and after all of his fastings, he has become the same weight since the December of '09.

Can someone, please tell me what I should do? I am afraid to put him on rats. I don't want anymore fastings..
