Using/Mounting of CHE's

In my 55g terr. Im using 2 UTH's & a red heat lamp. Im dealing with the humidity issues with sceen covers & moist Sphagnum moss & misting daily. Im still coming up short on ambient air temps altho the hot & cool side topical temps seem correct at 86 & 92 respectively.. I have read several posts on using a CHE for infared temp control.

Would one mount this the same way you would use a heat lamp? ie, with a light hood or by itself? Do they sit atop a screen lid or mounted on interior. I plan to switch to one of these and use a rheostat to control the temp.
