    Bad Shed.

I just got a new ball python about a week ago. I realized a few days ago that his belly had turned pink and I heard that it was a sign of shedding. About 2-3 days after noticing that he was poking his head out of its hide and I realized that little pieces of shed were peeling off and assumed it was a bad shed so I assisted it in shedding the rest off. Then I read on a forum that it usually takes 9-12 days for the shedding process to complete and I'm pretty sure it's only been about 5 days. I realize that I need to adjust the humidity before the next shed but I was wondering did I a big mistake in not waiting a few more days and did i do any damage as far as affecting skin conditions?

    Thanks in advance
