It's a little cliche, but this is one of those "oh thank god my snake finally took f/t" threads.

So my girl hoggie who has so far been a PAIN to feed took f/t for the first time in MONTHS today.

When I bought her, she was supposed to be eating f/t. She ate once for me, and from then on would put on a defensive display whenever offered food. This was really weird for me, because she ONLY would put on a defensive display during attempted feedings, but not during handling or cage cleaning or any other interactions.

I tried upsizing, downsizing, leaving food in the cage overnight, leaving her in a bag with the food, and going back to scenting.. nada. She had been refusing food for so long that I finally tried feeding live, and huzzah she took that no problem. I've been trying to get her back on f/t ever since, offering f/t about every other feeding. Luckily I have snakes that take her rejections.

Well I thawed a couple small feeders tonight that would be good for our small '10 brazilian rainbow boas, and figured I'd give my hoggie another shot.

I don't know why she decided to do it, but she ate for me, and I ended up feeding her all three crawler mice that I'd intended for the BRBs. Huzzah. Now I just hope that she'll continue to take f/t from now on.

I just had to share, cuz everyone else around here is already asleep and I'm pretty proud of my girl.
