Kinked non-feeder's first meal!!
I can't believe it - Snug just ate his first meal!!!
This little guy (or girl?) was hatched in late August, with unabsorbed yolk and a small kink in his neck... until now all feeding attempts, both assisted and unassisted, had failed. But his weight suddenly dropped this week, and I noticed he was cruising the tub like crazy - so I offered a live mouse fuzzy and he took it!!I am so happy, and hopefully this means he's on his way to healthy adulthood. His name Snug comes from Shakespeare (Midsummer Night's Dream), and he/she will either stay with me or be adopted out as a non-breeder.
He's a butt-muncher, LOL...
