Ok so my brother in law has this baby burm. It's husbandry is great, she eats exceptionally well and the shed in question was in one piece. We watched the shed in progress and noticed two patches on her that were for some reason white as the shed came off. There was no hint of the white previous to the shed. The white scales are shiny and intact. She does not have dirty living conditions or anything the like. I do not believe it is scale rot or a fungus.
Personally, I (April) believe that for some reason the color just didnt develop underneath the shed skin and that it will likely shed out, but my brother in law would like me to get a second opinion. What do you think caused these white patches? Have you ever had this happen before?
