My only experience with a dog bite is one I received when protecting a neighbor's dog from a vicious wandering dog once. I would have rather gotten bitten than have to explain that their dachshund was mauled by a marauding golden retriever.
No, there really isn't anyone I trust other than my family to watch my animals. I don't have that many friends either. I am usually the go-to person as well, but I can't be here 24/7 since I am living with my sister now 35-40 min away.

I would have done the same thing you did, but let me tell you. Getting bitten hurts like you wouldn't believe. The rott got me on my upper thigh and boy was I limping for a couple weeks. It was so gross. I never wear shorts now because I have the scars.
