My Favorite Clutch of the Year.

These are not my most valuable hatchlings of the year, but they are definitely the ones I am most excited about. Pieds are what first got me into BP's. My first purchase was a trio of het pieds. I have had horrible luck with my pied stuff. They were all crappy eaters. So bad that I ended up just buying a pair of visuals. My visual female is a great eater but has never produced a good clutch for me. Well this year my hets finally started eating pretty well and I got a clutch of 6 eggs from one of the females. I bred my male pied to her and the odds worked out pretty well. It is a little disappointing that all three of these visuals together are only worth a little more than I paid for one of my het females back in the day but this clutch isn't about the money anyway. I'm just glad to finally produce my own pieds. Now the hard part is to try to figure out which one to hold back. It makes it harder because they are all females.

They seem like my Adult males stripe may be at least somewhat genetic. They all look very similar to him.

    Here is the sire.
