Two of my last clutches of the season... one lesser x normal (shared clutch), and one spider x enchi.
Stinger clutch: 5 slugs, 3 eggs (but lost one), then one baby came out kinked and normal. I put her down immediately. Her kink was on her neck, so that her head was curved around facing her bottom. It looked like several vertebrae were fused. At one point she flipped over and could not right herself.
One very small egg survived. A 47g enchi male. Beautiful snake, with a slight kink at the bottom of his tail below his vent. he will stay here at Chez Lezard with his poppa.
Lesser clutch: Six eggs, lost one half veined egg early on. Two lesser females, and 3 normal males. All with some degree of dorsal striping.
Was unsure as the mother is my rescue female Georgina, she came to me with full dorsal scarring so I cannot tell what her spine looked like. But when I looked at dad again, he has full dorsal "islands" but with lots of breaks. So I do think it came from the dad. Definitely going to pair these two again next year and see.
Female 1
Female 2
Males 1-3
Thanks for looking.
