It all comes down to whether or not your rats will chew the tubs. I kill every chewer. It is genetic. I don't care what anyone says. If they have plenty of food and water and they're not overcrowded and they start chewing they are dead for me.
I agree I do the same, I have no chewer's and no biters, they kept my snakes warm for a moment or two.
