ok, had a girl lay 7 eggs on 5-7. 2 were slugs, 3 went bad (one is still in the incubator, but only because it's still stuck to an egg.) of the remaining two, one pipped, came out and has since shed. now, the other 'good' egg still appears fine. i cut it when the other pipped (day 55-56 i believe) and have peeked in every couple days. today i made the cut a fair amount larger and poked at the baby a little and it is still alive as far as my wife and i can tell. there is movement, but minimal.
now i haven't figured out how many days it has been exactly, but i know it's way more than normal. it seems as though there is still a sizable yolk in there, so i don't want to 'encourage' it to come out. should i just cull this one (if it's truly alive) or wait it out and see what happens?
thanks for any input.
oh, and the incubator is a mini fridge incubator, connected to a herpstat II set at 89*, with ~90% humidity.
