My ball python is shedding, after finally eating for me! He will be fed a few days after he sheds, and will be kept on the schedule, which is that he will be getting fed three to four mice every five days. I wish he would accept rats, but he won't. I am just happy that he is eating for me!

Anyways, I just thought I would take some pictures and show you guys what I've been doing to make sure he has a nice shed, and hopefully, he will! Let's just hope all of my good husbandry works

This is the mister/spray bottle I use:

It's a simple mister/spray bottle I got from Wal-Mart. It contains 24 ounces of water, or 710 milliliters. You can adjsut the water to a steady steam, or a nice misting option, which is really good for misting my snake's enclosure I mist three times a day, or two when he is not shedding. Make sure you keep it around 60%!

Here is what my male ball python, Ozzy, looks like when he is in shed. Also, he is very dull, his belly is pink, and his eyes are a gray-blue color. He has dark black eyes, and he is usually much brighter, with a clean white stomach.

That's him, and his dull body I still think he is cute!

Anyways, here are his eyes. They aren't as blue as they will be, but they are in the dark gray-blue phase. They turn bright baby blue right before he actual sheds his skin, which is really cool. I am expecting him to shed in a few days, I can't wait!

That's his pink belly. It usually starts out with a very light pink, then slowly gets darker to a very dark pink. It's not a burn, his belly is just pink Make sure it is pink up and down the stomach, or it could possibly be a burn. The pink looks really cool :]

There he is, after the photo-shoot, on his hide, about to go in I'll be leaving him alone for a while now... He didn't like it at all I just had to clean his water bowl, and mist his cage once more.

After he sheds, I will post a few pictures of how bright he looks, and whether or not he had one full shed. I should include a picture of the shed skin, shouldn't I? Oh, well, in a few days we'll see.

Thanks for look at my horrible pictures,
~ Mac
