Here's the follow up video. As you can see, there's some blood on his hand but nothing major! He was able to get it off eventually without having to smash it's head in or anything like that! If you read his comments below the video on YouTube, he basically says it wasn't that big a deal pain wise and he's had worse from other animals. So, his hand is still in tact and the snake is fine as well.
