I was so excited to get this done! My uncle and dad spent the weekend remodeling with us!
Before, 50s metal cabinets and all! It was a disaster in there. And yes I only had TWO counter tops!!!!
My mom and I tore out the cabinets, I forgot to take a picture of that. This is my Uncle Hal. He's from Hal's Plumbing in Maquoketa and did a FANTASTIC job! He's awesome *cough cough*We tried getting him to take short cuts, but he kept saying things like it's a little less than a 1/4 of an inch off, I better fix that, it needs fixed. I tried to tell him the whole house is at least 1/4 inch off, but no, it had to be perfect!
Daddy put Enzo up there, he was happy.

We apparently did this remodel for the cats, I was unaware of this. Stuart, Leya, and Enzo. Leya is blind so at least one cat will stay off the counters.
All done! And everything is put away (except the junk on top the fridge, ignore that)
We are going to paint it a burnt orange color, the floor will be dark, and the dishwasher will be black. It sooooo nice to have a decent kitchen!!! I won't miss that kitchen one bit! My uncle told me that we were weird for liking the dark colors and it must be a kid thingOur entire house is pretty much dark earth tones.
