I've had my normal girl about 2 1/2 months now. She for the most part has been eating 1 live adult mouse a week. I won't offer her anything if she has milky eyes but she has eaten going into shed just befire the eyes start to turn. Me being a new at this hobby also bought her with 2 small kinks in her tail & after reading these forums like the bible for the past 2 months now realize she has the spider like corkscrew problem. She has been shedding & gaining weight feeding on large mice so this past weekend I offered her a rat live prekilled & she looked at me like I was from mars. Today I offered her a mouse. She struck it killed it & then wrestled with it for 4 hours. She even started to swallow down to the front paws then spit it out a few times. I guess she got tired because now I have the dead mouse laying in her tank & she went back to sleep in her hide. I'll leave it in over night but if it's still there in the morning when is the next time I should try to feed her? She really was corkscrewing tonight after she killed it. Could this be getting worse as she gets older really effecting her eating ability?
