    The sheds are him healing and replacing his skin-scales.

    Considering the potential damage done to him, this is right on track for him to be doing.

    I have rehabbed burned snakes and they go through a similar process, but the good sign is that he is healing.

    Depending on his size, not sure I would advise trying to feed him, I have had burned snakes that have damaged internal tissue and will not feed till that is healed, this could be similar.
