So, I like showing off everything to friends and family. They always ask: "how can you tell when they ovulate?" I show good examples of females that look like they tried to eat a balloon, and they then follow with: "So then how can you miss an ovulation?" It's not hard to do sometimes.
I'm amazed how many people on here will say "I had no idea I was going to get eggs, I saw no ovulation!" and so I thought maybe others wonder how it can be missed.
This female ovulated, I saw it, and here it was:
This female only has 4-5 nice big follicles, yet she's hiding them very well!
For any nay-sayers who think this is not an ovulation, this is how she looks now:
Over the hot spot, normally coiled (not in this one though) and entering pre-lay shed.
EDIT: Thought I would mention that she weights 1900 grams.
So, that's how you can miss an ovulation. For advice, check on them twice a day, they don't just bloat-up for no reason, even if it's a tiny bloat.![]()
