Well today was feeding day and day 25 since Naga's last feed. New snug hides, peace and quiet for 1 week, temp and humidity perfect...
I placed the thawed rat on top of her enclosure for 30 min... nothing
Placed it in a shallow dish of warm water just outside her hidy hole... her nose peeked out
took it out and warmed it just outside her enclosure door with the hair dryer wafting eau de rat her way... her tongue started flicking like mad and she started coming out of her hide... yippy...
I offer the rat on the tongs then the head emerged and.....
... her eyes are completely BLUE!. She flicked at it with her tongue, bumped into it and went back into her hide
Crapanother rat wasted and this snake has it in for me LOL now we will wait for her to shed and try again. I left the rat in there anyways but I doubt she will eat it. Sigh One day I will look back on these first days as a snake mommy and laugh.
