    No he just hit and ran. The reason for the big bruise is he hit a blood vein and it bleed under the skin. Really didn't hurt much at all. Just looks pretty.

    Don't be afraid, the most always just strike, might tag you but not many will bite and wrap. I had an argentine boa do that once. The only thing to get her off me was listerine.
