A few months ago at the NARBC in Tinley Park, I ran across a vendor with an absolutely stunning snake. Now, I can't shake it and I would love to find out more about it and possibly get a few to admire in person. Unfortunately, I cannot remember what this lovely critter was called for the life of me. Hopefully, this animal will sound familiar to someone on here
The Snake: the vendor was holding the animal, very sweet, docile snake. At first glance it was jet black and shiny. It was fairly large, 3ft+, and some
sort of colubrid. I remeber the vendor saying that this animal hatched patterned and would go black over time. Looking closely at it,there were some remains of a red pattern on the snake. No white or grey anywhere. A jet black snake with traces of red on the body. What really fascinated me was the fact that it had jet black shiny belly scales. Unfortunately, I didn't take a picture of the animal in question but I hope this description is detailed enough for someone to chime in with an ID.
