Reptiles and high school/college
I'm a freshman in high school. I got my first snake when I was seven or so, a corn, which was subsequently lost because my friend left the lid open. My second snake, another corn, I got when I was barely 12 years old. She, too, was lost six months ago, yet again because my brother left the lid clamps off. I got my second snake in the summer of that year, and my third my friend gave me soon after.
So, I've had 2 snakes now for 2 years or so. I researched their care before buying them, and my two snakes right now are healthy (my BP was purchased in the summer of '08 and she's 1,200g now). The one time I had a health problem in a snake, I took her to a recommended reptile vet. I spend all my money on my animals. I've loved animals, especially reptiles, since I can remember. I'm definitely going to be in this for the long run.
I've been wondering lately what I'm going to do when I hit college. I'm planning on pursuing college, and don't know how likely it is that the college I go to will allow reptiles, or how many. I'd really love to save up for a few morphs, and maybe breed a clutch or two, but I just don't know if I can do that.
So, anyone who has/had reptiles in college, what did you do? What are the chances of college allowing them? Any limits on number or enclosure size? I'd definitely be using a small rack. Sorry if this has been discussed before. Thanks!
Just 0.1 normal BP, 1.0 mojave, 0.1 California King, 0.1 Saharan sand boa, ~20 hermit crabs, a Patriot crab, 5.0 rats, and a herd of mice and ASFs
