I just read a post about one particular who feeds their ASFs suet cakes (those creamy, kinda gross looking square patties for birds). Would I be able to throw in chunks here and there for my mice? Just to supplement them better? Their current diet consists of lab blocks and hamster/gerbil seed mix. I would imagine the suet cakes would have a little more fat content - I'm not positive as to what binds them together.

Would it also benefit my new pet rat? His diet is practically the same as the mice.

Just had to share a picture of my pretty new blue-hooded boy. I loved the movie The Secrets of NIMH when I was a kid, so I HAD to name him Nicodemus.
