88 is perfect for ambient temperature on the warm end, which is what the op says it is,
but 70 is cooler than I'd have it on the cool end.
I try to keep my cool end at 78 to 80 degrees.

I see no mention of a hot spot temp

generally when people list their warm side temp, its the temp of the UTH.
