HR 2811, the House of Representatives bill that was amended in July to ban the import and interstate transport of Burmese and African Rock pythons picked up a new co-sponsor today.
Representative William (Bill) Pascrell, Jr. is a Democrat from New Jersey's 8th Congressional District. New Jersey's 8th district runs up the middle of the state from South Orange up to Pompton Lakes. Wayne, Paterson, Montclair, and Nutley are all towns in the 8th district.

If Congressman Pascrell is your elected representative in Washington, D.C. you might want to give his local and Washington offices a call and politely let them know what you think about his decision to co-sponsor this bill. Better yet, Congress is in recess starting March 29th, so you might want to attend one of the Congressmans town hall meetings and let him know what you think in person.
