I've always loved these snakes, and they are one of the species on my (hopefully!) future breeding list. Appearence-wise I was hoping to find myself a blair's phase with thick orange bands, as well as one with no orange at all. Does anyone know how this workes genetically? Are they genetic mutations or a result of selective breeding? (So would my offspring look like one or the other-or a mash up of them both?)
Also, do grey-bandeds exhibit the cannabalistic trait like other kings? I always assumed they did, but I saw a pair kept in the same enclosure at a zoo (no keeper around to ask.) I've wondered about it ever since.
