I know this doesn't happen a bunch but it happens enough to be annoying.

Could you implement some sort of automatic thread locking? Say if a post hasn't received a response in 60 days that it can no longer be replied to?

Today I came across this -- http://www.ball-pythons.net/forums/s...ad.php?t=83481

It's a year old thread that's very serious and I just didn't see the date until after I started reading and getting into it.

Part of the problem also is the date on the thread when looking at the forum only has the date of the last reply.

But I'd rather just put in a method to not allow thread necromancy. If an old post is of some interest to someone, then they should create and new post and just link to the old one.

My 2 cents.
