Merry Christmas From Hawaii - Field Herping and Wildlife Edition

Well I've been enjoying a vacation with the family on the island of Kauai.

Here's some of the herps we've had the pleasure of encountering:

This cane toad(?) entertained us on our first night. I know they're invasive and not good to have around, but I can't help but enjoy the company of a toad.

We've found a few geckos inside the beach house we're staying in. They're cute!

We've had multiple encounters with large green sea turtles in the past few days out in the ocean. The most notable encounter was a ~200-300lb turtle that was very curious about us, and stayed in our vicinity while we were snorkeling close to shore for a good half hour as we watched him munch on plant material. He's stayed in the area for the past few days and has become a constant entertainment to watch him swimming.

This was the first time I had a camera with me, and the first time we saw one out on land. The lifeguards weren't sure if it was healthy (looks like it has some cracks in the shell?) and called a local turtle rescue to come check it out just in case.
