she ate!
my new little girl, whom i decided to name jewel, ate today after some frustration on my part! i got her on friday placed her in her cage that was already set up and waiting for her then left tomiami right after. got back on saturday night. sunday i went and got a pinky that to no avail did she eat it.
i made the mistake of placing the pinky in with its fellow rat counter part i had that was awaiting its death and in the night he devoured his younger brotheren... a little nasty. wont make that mistake ever again
so today i went to go get a new pinky, in which i again had no success in getting the little girl to eat! i even tried that little trick kryptonite was talking about feeding in the hand. instead of taking it out of the cage i left it on the other side of the cage in her second hide. came back a few hours later and the little rat was gone!!! SUCCESS!!!!! i did a thorough check of the aspen to see if the little bugger had dug in but no, he was gone! i weighed her just to make sure even though she was fatter then she had been before and she went from 74g to 83g!!!! yay!!!!!! im so proud of her!
just thought i'd share my stressful experiance that i didnt need to be stressing! i just dont like that anxiety that you get when they dont eat!
