Like you said $350. The best thing to do in my opinion would be to buy 2 Female pastels HATCHLINGS and grow them up. By the time you are moving out or making decissions on your own about your living situation they will able to breed. You can buy the male (in this case a spider for bee's) somewhere between that time since they can breed younger. You will learn alot about them too.
If were in your situation I would go this way: try to save a little more and buy a female pastel and a female spider. Then buy a male pastel a little later. That way you have a shot at making bumble bees and super pastels down the road.
Dont jump to conclusions and kill a "child's" (for lack of a better word at the moment, is late and Im tired ) dream.
