High ambient humidity
After switching my BPs to tubs, I wondered why I couldn't get the humidity below 60-70 - no matter how many holes I drilled. Today I left an analog hygrometer laying around the house, and when I checked it later it read 65%. Sometimes I forget how humid our climate is, since it's usually nice and cool... but I am like 1/2 mile from the Bay & 5 miles from the ocean, with a constant layer of fog. So it really shouldn't surprise me!
A few questions... is this an okay level for BPs (their tubs read 65-70 usually), and if so, will I still have to mist during sheds? Also, is there any way to lower a room's humidity? I've heard of humidifiers, but assume those ADD moisture.
