Hey; is anyone else an apartment dweller (I am sure that someone is!) I had been living on a farm in NY; now in Cali, we live in an apartment complex on the ocean. The rent is high and hard to afford, but there are some things (like a gym, and a nice location) that make it worth it to me.

Sure, it is different, living around people again, living underneath and beside other people. But not that bad.. not any bad kids in the immediate vicinity..

Space is an issue though!! We have a studio (with a seperate bathroom and a kitchenette.) In it, there is me, my husband, my cat and 6 snakes, and salamander! And my girlfriend and her boyfriend are moving in too. Yay for packing lots of people into a 300-square-feet space!

I noticed though. Back at the farm, we had bout 800 sq. feet of space.. but we never used half of it anyway. Paring down, selling alot of baggage, has really made me happier as a person.

I am adapting well though, I think. Home is just a place to crash between work and fun outdoor stuff.

How is your apartment life? Anything to look out for in the future? It's not a high-rise; more like, seperate buildings (and wowee, we even have a little patio!) Parking is an issue; not a huge one, but we only get one parking spot in the garage.. so we do have to joust for TIGHT parallell parking out on the street!
