Hmmm.... A friend & I were discussing this. Based on other recessive pied combos that have already been produced. Like the Lavender Albino Pied.
If you were to create then breed together, say, 2 lesser pieds. Or 2 mojave pieds etc.. It should be pretty obvious which of the babies wer het for pied of the lessers or mojaves produced. But how would you know if you had a lucy het for pied? Would it have markers? Or is that even possibe with a normally pure white snake.
The best question though.. How would you know if it was a pied lucy once you finally created one? I have 2 theories. Either there would be a slight contrast difference between the whites.. Or if not, i would think the only other way to tell would be the eye color..
Would a lucy pied with no noticable difference in the shades of white, have dark brownish black eyes with black pupils like any normal pied?
Has this been done yet? If not, whats your theory on it.
Im getting a Russo het x Lesser Leucistic and im hoping to get a pied as well. This may be a future project of mine.![]()
