A month ago, I acquired a pair of het lavender albinos, and they won't eat. Part of the problem is that they're 2007s, and set in their ways, and used to live rats, not the f/t mice I feed my snakes.... but they won't eat the f/t rats or live mice I've offered, either.

Well, I should say one of them won't eat! Because this weekend, shortly after the failed live mouse experiment, I noticed the female het lav was sticking her nose out and tasting the air when I microwaved my leftover Indian curry from the night before. What the heck, I figured-- so I went out and got another live mouse, and tried offering it to the female. And again, she hid from it. So I dabbed some curry sauce on the mouse's head, and offered it again... and this time she snapped at it. So I put my curry on the poor mouse, and after the four time, the snake too it.

And then she still looked hungry! So I warmed up a f/t mouse, rolled it in curry sauce, and the stupid snake went for it.

So now I have one het lavender male that won't eat, and one het lavender female that will eat anything, as long as it tastes like Indian food. Oh, did I mention it was a vegetarian curry?

I have a vegetarian ball python. Top that, if you can!
