The bi-monthly reptile show in Wheaton, IL had a contest for a new logo. I wanted to enter, because the winner got $50 and a free year entry, and I got to every show to get my feeders. I put it off and forgot about it until the night before the deadline, so I opened up Adobe Illustrator and started drawing. I handed in four very similar entrees, and one of them got first place for the t-shirt category. The guy that runs it said that there were so many entrees that he had to split it into categories, because if my design was shrunk down to fit on magnets and mugs, the fish bowl disappeared and it looked the the rat was being inappropriate. I'm pretty stoked that I don't have to pay the entry fee to buy feeders for a whole year. Woot. They gave me a famed certificate and everything.
