hello all, we are new here, spend afew days just reading and looking for answers.
we picked up a normal IJ female at the denver reptile show this past weekend, she was born 7/8/09. i would estimate her length at about 15in give or take, she is hard to measure. no weight yet, should have new scale tomorrow. she ate a live mouse hopper on 7/24 according to breeder.

she appears to be very active outside her tank, loves to curl up on my head and tounge my glasses, in tank she loves coiling in her tree or up along the top where it meets the screen.

tank set up:
10gal
10gal undertank heater afixed to side of tank, directly behind her log hide.
75w heat lamp on hot side
50w red night light on cool side
hot temp low to mid 90s humidity ~40%
low temp low to mid 80s, may dip into 70s at night humidity ~40%
1 hide log hot side
1 hide hollow tree/cave cool side
substrate coconut husk
therms/hydro zoomeds combos on each side

now to my questions, since we are new to CPs how does this set up sound?
i know this is only a temp setup, plan on building an enclosure or picking up a 75gal tank.

feeding, she is not interested at all. we have offered her a hopper daily for the last 3 days. the first times were in the BPs feeding tub, in a dark room. tonight i turned the hopper loose in her tank and plan on leaving it in all night.
i have read here about them stressing and not eating for 2-3 weeks after coming home. is this normal? i have looked at fuzzy rat pups but they look way to big for her.

our BP ate immediatley after coming home and hasnt slowed down one bit, she is a hog!
this is why i have a steady supply of hoppers to offer, we raise our mice, petco/smart will not sell mice as feeders and our local rept shop is horrid. so i now have many many mice.

anyway, hopefully she is just getting aclimated to her new surrounding and will soon turn into the voracious eater i hear they can be, but any advice would be helpful.
