EGG-citing weekend continued.....
Finally, the possible het clowns are out of the egg! Five eggs, 2.2 and 0.0.1
The questionable one doesn't readily show hemipenes, yet is redder than I'm comfortable with to declare a female - so will have to wait and see until I'm positive. So for now "it" is staying here until I can confirm the sex. Of course, since I want "it" to be a famale (one of my favs from the clutch), it will turn out to be male in the end.
Last year, I had a clutch of 4 from the same parents (Isis, these are your boy's full siblings) and got 3.1, so if the questionable one ends up being a female, I've made up for the boys I got last year!
They fooled me in the eggs showing me just their reduced parts of their patterns, but they are all five much brighter than last year's clutch. Last year's clutch had one male that looked like these, and three that were very melanistic. Was pleased to see the lighter kiddos, because I'm hopeful that they are more likely to prove out!
Clutch shot:

Female 1

Female 2

Questionable kiddo

Male 1

Male 2 - who I was REALLY hoping would be a girl - check out his blushing!

This was Echo's second year in a row with Oliver - so she gets a break this coming season. One - because I think for now, I'd only like to breed my females back to back 2 years in a row, and 2 - because I'd like to breed her to my het lavendar one day, and I don't want to risk there being any retained sperm this season with two hets back to back.
