I know... no cam yet, and not a lot of means to post. But I am going on holidays soon enough, so I can become a bit more active (after my sojourn in Victoria that is)
We are moved into the new place, we have all the snakes back, and will be picking up the newly pipped 1.1 pastels next week. And hopefully getting the 20 eggs that are yet to pip back as well.
For anyone that missed it, our place burned down in April and we are in the process of rebuilding. We have been so fortunate, we had our snakes fostered and our girls all laid in foster care.
We moved into the new place (after two months in a sublet) the last weekend of June, then we picked up the boy that pipped from the clutch that survived through the fire.
We also gifted his sibling to another herper that had a similar situation, without such good results.
The wee boy that made it is named Phoenix and he is the BOMB! Eating FT with fervor and is going to be a real sweetheart.
Our one clutch of 5 laid in foster care had 2 survive and they are a 1.1 pastel pairing. I pick them up this next week.
Just wanted to warm y'all that my miserable self is back.
I have a comp, and am not so bad at tapping into the neighbours' connection, so I can grab some time in the evenings when not pulling double shifts (working about 4 double shifts out of my 6 day work week right now).
I have the snake room almost rebuilt, and it was due to your supports and generosity during our time of such despair.
I missed the site, and am glad to have a bit more stability right now, and I really look forward to catching up on what people had hatched out and what the season has looked like!
If nothing else, I REALLY miss talking snakes and not talking about fires. Seriously, it gets so tiring.
More later as I know it...
